Meadow View (sleeps 14) Willow Barn (sleeps 14) Farmhouse (sleeps 10)

Willow Barn and Meadow View are two cottages, each sleeping fourteen. Set in over four acres of rural Derbyshire countryside, this is a great venue for parties, reunions and celebrations, particularly if you have children in your group.

Both cottages have large living accommodation for up to 14 (ie 28 in total). They have open plan living/dining room areas, log burners, fully fitted kitchens and games rooms. Outside, there are large terraces with gorgeous views and ample space for games and activities, even a spot of fishing in the pond.

The Farmhouse sleeps 10 people over 5 bedrooms, there is an open plan country kitchen with gas range cooker with hob, two lounges, one with an open fire. Outside there is a lovely mature garden which has garden furniture, and a barbeque. Ample space for games and activities, even a spot of fishing in the pond.

Location

Along a one mile rural track in the middle of the Peak District countryside, within three miles of Kirk Langley village. It is nine miles to the town of Ashbourne, and four miles to Derby.

Accommodation

This is THE place for those coming on holiday with a group of friends and wishing to be able to sit and eat together and enjoy each other’s company. You will find that all the living accommodation here is centred around this philosophy, with space in the kitchens, living areas and games rooms to enable you to enjoy your holiday without getting under each others’ feet.

Both Willow Barn and Meadow View have an inviting log burner in the lounge (one basket of logs is provided on arrival) to curl up by on winter nights. The kitchens are fully fitted with electric hobs, double ovens, dishwashers and separate utility rooms with washing machines.

Each cottage has seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. A twin bedroom on the ground floor with a separate bathroom can be used as disabled accommodation if necessary. Three double bedrooms are upstairs (two with ensuite shower rooms), plus three twin rooms, an additional bathroom and a shower room.

Farmhouse cottage has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. First Floor: Two double en suite bedroom with shower rooms, which have under floor heating and towel rails. Three further bedrooms with family bathroom. Second Floor: Games room approached by steep stairs.

Facilities

A large games room in each cottage has a pool table, football table, table tennis, board games, a TV and a DVD/video player.

All prices include oil, water, electricity, bed linen and towels. There is ample parking on site, and cots and highchairs are available on request.

Area

The secluded location means that you can enjoy a really peaceful country setting.

There are a number of villages nearby with shops of one kind or another. Brailsford (three miles) has small convenience shops, and there’s a larger supermarket in Mickleover (six miles). Derby and Ashbourne obviously have far greater facilities, both supermarkets and high street fashion etc.

Family attractions include:
